Promotion and Advertising

In order to sell more goods companies promote and advertise their products. Advertising media include:

* TV commercials
* the Internet (e-mails, web banners, pop-ups)
* radio
* classified advertisements (in newspapers, magazines) – ogłoszenia drobne
* hoardings (billboards)
* neon signs
* special displays
* display advertisements (large advertising pages in magazines etc.)
* wall paintings
* flyers/leaflets
* banners

Advertising is one of activities promoting the product. The others include:

* free samples (small amount of a product, e.g. shampoo, cream)
* free gifts attached to the product (e.g. you can get a pen after buying some diary)
* discounts (when the price is reduced)
* loyalty cards
* cross-promotion/cross merchandising (when you buy one product, you are entitled to discount for another one)
