Anuśka asked me if I can tell something about bilingualism - yes, I can. Bilingual class means that the students are expected to know two lagnuages (usually Polish & English) perfectly - it's not so horrible as it sounds. We have 5 hours of English every week (and advanced books), in comparison - students from other schools have usually 3 (and . Secondly, we have some lessons lectured in English (e.g. biology, maths and knowledge about society). Of course it is also lectured in Polish. I enjoy learning about various parts of human body in English :)
On the other hand, bilingualism has not only advantages, but also disadvantages. We are supposed to pass bilingaul matura exam in English OR extended English and obligatorily another language at least elementary level (in my case it is German - I hate it!).
What is more, you can wonder how the bilingual matura exam looks like. There is no grammar section for we're expected to know language perfectly. Listening, as you know, is connected with giving answers to the questions - but biligual students have no close test like A. B.C.D. (we have to single-handedly give answers. And last, but not least the essay is expected to contain 300-350 words - extedned matra exam essay only 150-200 words.
And of course the oral matura exam is different from extended- you are not expected to say about pictures, tables or a statement, but about a given article (with a numerous words that you dont exactly know, because of its difficulty).
