A few days ago I [decided, decide, was deciding] to invite my parents to dinner. I [bought, buy, buyed, was buying] lots of food and a bottle of wine. At about six o'clock I [was cooking, cooked, cook] in the kitchen. The sun [was shining, shine, shone, shined] and it [was, is, be, was being] a nice evening, so, I [decided, was deciding, decide] to open the back door.
Then the telephone [rang, was ringing, ringed]. I [went, was going, goed] to answer it and when I [came, was coming, comed] back some of the food was missing. I [looked, was looking, look] out of the window. A cat [was sitting, sat, sitted] on my garden wall and it [was eating, ate, eated] the sausage. What [could, can, caned] I do?
I [called, was calling, call] my husband and [asked, ask, was asking] to do some shopping. He [bought, buyed, was buying] what I needed so I [was able to finish, abled to finishing, able to finish] the dinner. The quests [were, was, were being] a bit late, but I think, the dinner was great. We all [had, haved] a great time.
