Used to/Be used to/Get used to/Would

used to – używamy, gdy ktoś miał zwyczaj robić coś w przeszłości, np. He used to jog every morning. They used to live in London.

Konstrukcja:

podmiot+used to+bezokolicznik+reszta 

be used to – być przyzwyczajonym do, np. She is used to getting up early. We aren’t used to being critised.

Konstrukcja:

podmiot+be (w odpowiednim czasie i formie)+used to+gerund 

get used to – przyzwyczaić się do czegoś, np. Eventually, I got used to his weird habits.

Konstrukcja:

podmiot+get (w odpowiednim czasie)+used to+gerund 

would - używamy, gdy ktoś miał zwyczaj robić coś w przeszłości, ale UWAGA, nie można stosować ‘would’ przy opisywaniu stanów:

He used to study in Warsaw.

He would study in Warsaw.

They used to go fishing every Sunday.

They would go fishing every Sunday.
