Is health care in Poland fair to everyone? What kind of person makes an excellent doctor?

There is no doubt that health care is one of the most important issues in every country. Maybe that's why there are so many controversiesconnected toit. Generally, people in our country aren't satisfied with the medical care's condition. It is said that health care isn't fair to everyone. The vast majority of Polish hospitals are dilapidated and overcrowded. Medical devices tend to be time-worn and practically there is no hope for their fast modernization because of the lack of money. Over 70% of hospitals are encumbered with debts what means that in all this institutions the development is impossible and , what is more, people will not receive basic, satisfactory help. Cutbacks are also the main reason of closure of health service centers in small towns. Patients from countries and small communities are forced to seek help in bigger cities; that is why the queues in hospitals are so long. To decrease the maintenance costs , managing directors limit the number of places in health service centers and shorten the recovery time when the patient should stay in a hospital bed. Only rich people who can afford to be treated in private clinics or who bribe doctors can have surgeries earlier. What's more, some people have easy access to doctors and special medical examination by pulling strings.
Now, when I mentioned about bribery in medical care, it's time to talk about an ideal doctor. First, I would like to talk that they should be honest and consistent. In this profession there are many temptations, because some patients can propose big amount of money in return for medical certificate of temporary work disability and so on. What's more, many pharmaceutical companies offer profits in return for prescribing their products.
An excellent doctor should have a big knowledge and a good memory, because there are a lot names of medicines and illnesses. I like watching a TVseries: 'Na dobre i na złe' and for me it's amazing how much the doctors know and how fast they can resolve a particular issue. He or she has to make very difficult decisions during a few seconds, because somebody's life depends on his or her reflex; so self – control and intellect are necessary in this job.
Doctors should be committed in their work and they should also be aware that sometimes they have to leave their families (even during the Christmas Eve), because somebody is really ill and needs their help. What's more, they should be sympathetic, soft (delicate?) and have good communication skills. Very often they talk to patients and their families about their lives and problems. Doctors are treated as priests or psychologist. People count on their help, good advice... Moreover, sometimes physicians have to tell patients and their relatives that they are going to die. It's very difficult and requires special skills from them.

But some people don't trust doctors and try to take a cure by themselves or look for other solutions.
alternative medicine is something, that people come into for finding new experiences and testing different methods of treatment. As everything that isn't very reliable, an alternative medicine has some advantages and disadvantages.
On the one hand, it's in almost every case based on very old and exotic methods. The good thing is that it's completely natural. No chemistry gets into your organism. What is more, in most of cases it's totally non – invasive, so there's no need to be afraid of scalpels, drills or syringes. Instead of that therapists use different kinds of herbs or psychological tricks like the influence of colors and music. In addition, sometimes an alternative therapy is the only chance for recovery for people who suffer incurable diseases.
On the other hand, the price that you have to pay for even one short session of acupuncture is often exorbitant. Not everyone can afford being treated in those extraordinary ways. Moreover, the whole process of therapy is very slow because it's often based on autosuggestion. People who are sceptical about alternative methods probably can never have chance to experience potential benefits of it. Another problem is that, very often people who start to take a cure by alternative medicine, stop underging 'normal' treatment by doctors, in hospitals etc. Effects can be regrettable.
In my opinion alternative medicine should be only the addition to casual treatment rather than substitute of it.
