What is your favourite way of spending holidays?
I enjoy the holidays mostly because I get to spend a lot of time outdoors instead of sitting in a small classroom for eight hours every day and after that lying on the sofa in front of the TV. During the summer my parents always make sure that me and my brother engage in some kind of sport activities or anything that keeps us busy. For instance, last year in July they sent us to a so-called language camp where we had to use English every day for two weeks. It was a very educational experience. I have definitely improved my language skills. In August we went to stay on our Grandparents' farm where we helped to feed the animals and to turn out the cows. I even got to learn how to milk one. Apart from that me and my brother as well as some of the children from the neighbourhood rode our bicycles to the nearby lake where we swam and played volleyball. In the evenings I gave Grandma a hand with the supper, after which we talked about our day or just went straight to bed because we were too tired to stay up. My last holidays were very exciting and very active and I think it is the best way of spending your free time. You are never bored and you have a lot of fun while learning new and interesting things in the process.
